Tue 14th of February 2012 – Koek en Zopie

What you see here is 'Koek en Zopie'. When it's possible in the winter to ice skate, the entire population of the Netherlands seems to want to do it. On the ice little stalls emerge to sell hot chocolate and bits of food, and this is called 'Koek en Zopie'. In case you missed it, all these people are standing on the canal, not an ice rink.
