Tue 20th of March 2012 – Cuban Pelican

Look at this amazing bird.

It was sitting (or is that called swimming?) on the sea and I slowly waded towards it getting quite close. At some point the pelican decided that was close enough and took off. The white bit in the middle is the top of the head and you can just his or her beak.
