Sun 23rd of December 2007 – Emily

Emily works as a primary school teacher in Bethnal Green. She also shares a flat with Elena, the first person I photgraphed for this project. Emily seemed to be very comfortable in front of the camera We talked about her work. About the fact that 95 percent of her pupils are muslem, but that they still play out the birth of jesus every year on stage. And none of the parents have a problem with that. On the table is the mouthwash Elena gave me a few days before.
