When it comes to international football I cannot help but become very orange and very excited and also very nervous. And in the end, of course, very sad, as we never come first. It’s a great range of emotions that I enjoy.  It had been more than 8 years since the Netherlands had participated in a World Cup, but it was worth the wait. I was home alone with my youngest who wasn’t that excited about the game, but as you can see I found a solution to that. Towards the end of the game the whole family had joined. And when Wout Weghorst scored the equaliser in the 101st minute I screamed so loud my kids were genuinely scared of me. It was not to be though, but it was fun. I can’t wait for the euros to start in 2 years.
